Sawmills of Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Mexico
mahogany_stacks.jpg
Stacks and stacks of mahogany are at this sawmill. After sawing, they line up the boards like this - I'm not sure why. This must be some kind of pre-drying process because these are fresh off the saw. From here, they will be stacked, graded, sold, trucked, and kiln-dried for folks to use in furniture, flooring, cabinetry, or any other type of fine woodwork.
